our family at Cabaret.Org, Team Cabaret, and Narratus lost a beloved friend
with the death of Renee a bursting-with-life creative talent, actor, singer
and entertainer, one half of a performing team with her equally-gifted
husband, Albert Hague. Close to our hearts for years, she was a friend
and staunch supporter of the Team Cabaret program from its conception
to the present. Renee participated from the beginning of the program,
committing time and talent. She also served as guest facilitator, providing
professional, master-class-level training to students in Team Cabaret
workshops. Renee and Albert performed at New Years' Eve Cabaret Gala events
with us at the Summit House in Fullerton, California, and was to be one
of a group of cabaret artists to record an upcoming holiday CD for release
in the winter of 2000. A rare human being, Renee Orin was our friend ...one
whose life and work exemplify what is most special about this thing we
call cabaret ...that which has heart and meaning. We will miss her. View a Quicktime tribute to Renee Orin (Quicktime 4.0 Required click to download) We are grieved at the death of Albert Hague on November 12, 2001, who along with his late wife, Renee Orin, touched our lives in many magical, personal and professional ways. The people of Narratus were blessed to have spent an evening on December 31, 2000 with Albert at a holiday gala at the Summit House in Fullerton, California, where he regaled young and old alike with his stories and songs. He leaves a powerful legacy of influence in music, theater, and other media, and will be deeply missed. Watch for further tribute information coming soon. L.A.
